Hannibal (Steve)

Hannibal has a strong background in business, in both the Financial Services Industry and Health & Fitness. He got back into gaming about 3 years ago having a had a short 25-year break.

He has started to re-hone his painting skills and decided to set up Stormbringer Art to allow a platform for good artists in the industry to sell their wares and have the platform to work as a team.

He loves painting, loves working with his team and is aiming to have the best and happiest company in the industry!

The Artificer (Stewart)

I first got into the hobby in 1999 collecting Games Workshop miniatures and it has been a huge part of my life ever since. I love playing miniature games but I’ve always been a more avid painter and over 20 years later my passion still burns stronger than ever. I’m always looking to better my painting, modelling and converting ability. If I’m not painting models, I’m watching tutorials to vary my techniques and broaden my knowledge. I am trying to enter more competitions since picking up a handful of finalist places in Golden Demon competitions over the years and finally get my hands on one of those coveted trophies.

Escalla (Andreea)

Escalla is a trained sculptor and dedicated hermit devoted to the study and creation of all magical creatures. Her favourite past times include binge watching movies and browsing (monkey swinging) through art supply stores, and since she started to work on miniatures, devised 13 new ways of mixing paint and patented a unique style of keeping her eyeglasses from sliding off the tip of her nose. Despite her never ending dabble in minimalistic installation art, her characters here approach a ‘more is more is more’ philosophy, as she cannot contain her need to change and add new elements to pre-existing figurines.

The Searcher (Darren)

I first got the taste for tabletop games through a school friend that introduced me to Blood Bowl...and the sub game Dungeon Bowl and then Space Marines and finally Warhammer.

I was hooked immediately and very quickly wanted my own Skaven team in my colours and an Army of Marines bearing the same colours and that was the(slightly slippery)path towards me becoming a miniature painter....For a little while anyway.
Fast forward about 26 years, three lads in tow of varying ages and character and a wife to be alongside me, I find myself picking up a paintbrush again after someone gave me the reason and confidence to retry painting......since then I have tried to learn and relearn the techniques that would steer me towards becoming more than a just a novice painter.

I haven,t even got my toes wet again in the pool of miniature painting but I am a more calm and mature a painter than previously and I am excited to see where this new path takes my skills.

Smokes (Alan)

Smokes...Our International man of mystery has been painting miniatures for many years. He is a very accomplished professional artist and already has a big following and successful business. He started his career in a big way following some health issues. He is seen as the teams elder statesman, he may be elusive but he is respected among the group.
His ability and experience are highly valued both by the Stormbringer Group and by the many people that have used his services in the past.

He is part of Stormbringer as with our shared collective approach and our desire to paint and sell only what we want, he feels it will lead to a far more enjoyable and much less stressful way of painting, earning and still enjoying what he does so well.

Spoon (Charlie)

Dnd and Warhammer have been a weekly hobby for me for the last 5 years or more. In that time I've managed to gain enough experience through sheer practise and taking lessons in painting minis that I have managed to get quite decent at it. My favourite thing about minis is how they have the ability to convey so much character in a little mini and each painted mini is completely unique especially to the one who painted it. I love meeting new people who also enjoy Dnd and other tabletop games as everyone has their own amazing gaming moments to tell. My favourite Dnd story I have explains how I got my nickname, maybe you will find out if you ask...

Pritch (Alex)

I am a Birmingham based part-time miniature painting artist. Not only do I have a passion for painting but I particularly enjoy modifying models to give them a little more strange and unique appearance.

Since finishing my degree and entering the 'real world' i've returned to my hobby of making, painting, and playing Warhammer 40k in my spare time. After attending tournaments and comparing my models to those of others, it sparked my passion to paint even more and motivated me to strive to win the "Best Painted Army" title which I recently achieved with my Chaos Space Marine and Khorne Daemon army at The Glasshammer Open in October 2018.

I beleive that this is just the start of a great creative journey and I am looking forward to developing new skills and ways of working alongside the StormBringer Art Team.

The Jeweller (Judy)

After gaining a Fine Arts degree from Leicester’s DeMontfort University, Judy then spent over thirteen years in the bouncy castle industry (which isn’t as much fun as it sounds), painting giant cartoon characters for a living. When printing technology caught up and she got the boot from the industry, she turned to her hobbies to make a living, and now sculpts and creates unusual pewter jewellery. She is also a traditional fine artist and paints fantasy pictures, with influences ranging from Rene Magritte to Roger Dean.

Judy most enjoys painting monsters, but loves anything challenging and odd, and is always on the lookout for highly unusual figures to paint.

Saint (Ryan)

Saint is a professional painter working for Stormbringer Art, where he paints models to a high standard whether it be commissioned work or personal projects. With over 10 years of experience, he takes great pride in delivering top quality tabletop miniatures that his customers will enjoy just as much as he does painting them. You can expect 100% transparency, no horror stories, and nasty surprises when working with Saint.

Gorilla with a Brush (Alan)

Gorilla started painting miniatures seriously in 1998 and, with a few brief lapses, has been painting ever since. In 2003 and 2004 he won four U.S. Golden Demon awards and had about 10 finalist showings. After 2004 he quit painting for competitions, but somehow still kept winning awards (most notoriously winning a Master Craftsman award for best painted army at a convention after playing only two casual games on the first afternoon and not entering any tournaments – he was at the pub when the award was handed out and had to be summoned back to the convention to pick it up). The Gorilla is mostly known for the freehand details on his miniatures.

These days he spends most of his hobby time working as the unofficial official studio painter for Atlantis Miniatures, working on personal projects, and using this hobby as a vehicle for supporting animal charities.

He may or may not be a real gorilla. The jury is still out.

Prestige (Henry)

“After the high flying city life wore me down, I picked up the brush again and came out swinging. A nerd of many flavours, I roleplay on paper and in person and I paint tiny soldiers and play with them too when I get the chance.

I have been painting in earnest for just over a year now after a hiatus (having been deep in the hobby in my adolescence) and have finally allowed myself to be convinced by many that I was good enough that people would pay me to paint /their/ things! Since then I have started taking commissions and hope to increase that further!

Aside from that, I paint for the love of painting. It keeps me centred and has become a staple part of my every day.”
